Wednesday morning, I was sitting at work nursing a mug of tea and catching up with the world, when I saw a tweet from Saveur Magazine announcing that their Best Food Blog Award finalists were up. A shiver of nerves ran through me as I clicked over. You see, I was nominated last year. It was a huge honor and while I hoped I might make a list again this year, I didn’t want to count on it. There are so many good food blogs out there that are incredibly deserving of the limelight.
Happily, amazingly, I’m a finalist again, this time in the Best Kitchen Tools and Hardware Coverage (last year I was in the Special Interest category). I am floored and flattered to have been chosen and I offer huge (HUGE) thanks to the Saveur editors, as well as those of you who suggested this blog during the initial nomination phase.
Now, if you like Food in Jars, it would be lovely if you’d take a moment and vote. You do have to create a Saveur account, but it’s quick to do. You can create an account on this page and register your vote here. I’d be so appreciative if you took the time!
Finally, I want to offer many congratulations to my fellow equipment and hardware finalists. Lifehacker, Delicious Days, The Kitchn, Regrettably Edible and Kitchen Generation, I am delighted to be sharing the proverbial platform with you all.
So deserved, so exciting! Congratulations!
That is awesome! Very deserving, congrats!

I’m looking forward to canning my 100 year old raspberries this summer. They are huge, sweet and so delicious. I’ll be using sugar-free pectin. It’s my all time favorite canning item. We get bumper crops and I’ve got 4 cases of new mason jars just waiting to be filled. enJOY your summer harvests! Congratulations on your awrds. I LOVE receiving your emails.
in loving kindness, Linda
