The Food in Jars Kitchen Book Tour

Last week, my newest book officially hit bookstore shelves! In celebration, I’m going to be doing a bit of travel in April, May, and June. Please do take a read through these events and come out to see me if I’ll be in your neck of the woods!

April 9 (North Jersey): Canning class with the Farm & Fork Society at Garden State Kitchen. 6:30-8:30 pm. Registration fee includes a copy of The Food in Jars Kitchen. Register here.

  • I found your site looking for ideas for pressure canning damson plums….I have too many…don’t we all? Really happy to see pickled fruit recipes. I miss spiced apple rings for Thanksgiving and will make my own now.

    Congrats on the baby! Best time of life.

    1. Damson plums are high in acid so they don’t need to be pressure canned. They do beautifully in a boiling water bath canner. You can can them in halves, the same way you would peaches or pears.
