Hi friends! I’ve decided to bring back the habit of featuring photos from the Food in Jars Flickr group on Sunday evenings. Here are a few pretties from the last few weeks. If you’d like to see your photo featured in this site, please head over to Flickr, join the group and start adding your images.
An assortment of patriotic pickled vegetables (made on the 4th of July) from Flickr user weshook.
Twenty-eight jars of strawberry jam from Flickr user and blogger Gypsy Forest.
Sugar snap peas on their way to being pickled by Aubrey Rose. She blogs at Eat.Repeat.
June tomato sauce from pebblie. She tracks her canning and seasonal eating here.
Gorgeous rhubarb cherry jam from Yossy. She blogs at Apt. 2B Baking Co.
This quick, winey-briney pickled asparagus from Sidewalk Shoes.
Thanks for mentioning me!
Beautiful photos of beautiful food. I’ll have to check out these blogs. Thanks for all of the great canning inspiration!
love looking at these!
Love the photos, especially the image of the sugar snap peas. I noticed that you have a recipe for dilly beans and will definitely use it!
I love the Strawberries! Such a colorful (and almost patriotic) scene! Thanks for the great images!
I have to admit that whenever I can something, I sit and stare at it for a while because it’s always so pretty. I don’t know if it’s the jars or the satisfaction of making something so pretty myself, but it certainly adds to the joy of canning. I made a quart of bread and butter pickles yesterday (trying a recipe on a small scale before committing too many veggies/jars to something I might not love.) It looked so pretty on the counter (and now in the fridge) I smiled every time I walked past it!
Wow! Gorgeous! My food is never that pretty–or my photography isn’t that good! Love to see everyone else’s efforts.
Thanks so much for including my jam in your line up….. such a lovely group of photos 🙂 Happy canning all!
Beautiful photos. 28 jars of strawberry jam, that is amazing! I canned my first thing this year – 13 jars of strawberry jam/sundae topping. http://wp.me/p1d0h8-eq
I hope to have a pantry brimming with local food by season’s end. As I am just starting my foray into putting food up, I find your blog very inspriational, so thank you!
What a lovely surprise to be included in this group! It’s so inspiring to see everyone else’s projects, I think some dilly beans may be in order this weekend.
Thank you for mentioning me! I love seeing other canners’ photos; it’s inspiring!

finally catching up with your blog, and found to my pleasant surprise that you chose one of my photos. Love your blog and I’ve printed out a couple recipes that I had missed.
