This month in the Mastery Challenge, we’re focusing on fermentation. In honor of our topic and in celebration of their brand! new! website!, long-time FIJ partner Fillmore Container is sponsoring a ferment-focused giveaway here on the blog.

Before we dig into the details of the giveaway, let’s talk a little about the new Fillmore Container site. First of all, it’s faster, mobile-friendly (so important for those emergency jar orders!) and so much easier to navigate. They’ve improved shopping, ordering, and reordering experience and have lowered their shipping rates!
The Fillmore Container blog is also brand new and ready for visitors. There’s an easy-to-use navigation bar at the top that makes it simple to find the information you want. Seasonal content is featured at the top of the page and as you scroll down, you’ll see thumbnails and links from the eight most recent posts.
Now, on to the giveaway! This time, one lucky winner will receive…
- One box of wide mouth quart jars from Orchard Road (a wide mouth quart is my favorite vessel for small batch fermentation)
- One reCAP wide mouth lid
- One reCAP Fermenter (it fits into the spout of the reCAP lid)
- One wide mouth iLid for stashing your finished ferment in the fridge
To enter the giveaway, use the widget below!
Disclosure: Fillmore Container is a Food in Jars sponsor and buys a monthly banner ad on this site. This giveaway is being offered as part of our partnership agreement. However, all thoughts and opinions expressed here are entirely mine.
And one more thing! Fillmore Container is also hosting a giveaway on their blog in conjunction with CanningCrafts over the same week that this giveaway will be live. Make sure to head over there and enter that as well!

I think pickle pebbles would be great!
I like to have one of those Pickle Packer – Vegetable Tamper. It would make easy work of packing kraut into the jar.
As I venture into the world of sauerkraut these look awesome.
The recap looks very practical.
I’d like a case or 2 of the 16 oz Square Mason Jars.
I’ve been wanting to make kimchi and sauerkraut, but don’t want to do large batches initially, so this looks like a perfect way to get started!
Fermentation looks like fun! I’d love to try it with this kit 🙂
4th Burner Pot 12 Cup Kuhn Rikon
The airlock would be awesome. I’m pretty sure it will fit pour spouts on some of my bigger jars
Looks like this will make fermentation way easier!
The cute daisy lids!
The fermenter is such a great idea! I have never fermented (aside from kombucha) since it seemed like such a PITA to fill plastic bags with water and have extra plates or whatever to weigh things down, and I don’t want to have to buy a whole new crock either. Having a plug for a cap to a jar is so much simpler, easy to store when not in use, and fits on containers I already have… brilliant!
This is something I have wanted to learn so this would be great!
all those lids….I want about 6 different kinds of lids for my jars. I use them for almost everything.
I’d love any of the canning books. Thanks for the giveaway!
This is what I want to learn next!! Thanks Filmore!
Would love to try out your products for fermentation of my own produce! Thank you!
Crocks for fermenting!
Perfect for making kraut!
Like the containers that I can use for homemade vanilla extract.
My wish list includes a variety of stainless steel funnels.

The EZ cap bottles are on my wish list.
The new website does look great. It’s easy to find what you’re looking for, and I love looking at the pretty jars. Great giveaway too!!
Learning new information on fermentation. Enjoying reading your blog.
Wow! Their new website is just great. Can’t even narrow down the possibilities yet. But this fermentation kit would be very high on the list.
Love the coloured iLids – would be great for gifts or organizing the pantry.
I like the huge variety of jars. The 32 oz Hi-Shoulder Jars is a good size for me.
Love it!
A sure way to upgrade my fermentation efforts!
The digital thermometer……
Oh I need this!!!
I’d love some growlers for some fermented, self-carbonating ginger beer!
They had some cool coffee bean storage lids that will make an awesome gift for my coffee loving son. I love unique ideas you don’t find just anywhere.
Love fillmore container!! 🙂
There’s such a variety of items at Fillmore. I get all excited over lids and scents and wax and silicon splash mats and cute little jars and great big jars and… and…..
That coffee bean storage lid looks very interesting! And oh the lovely jars ; )
I love the new website layout!i would be happy with any of the unique Ball jars! They are so pretty! Thanks for the chance to win!
I would love a stainless steel funnel! Every time I pour something hot…I know my Granny’s old aluminum one is not good!
I’ve been thinking of trying some easy fermentation projects and this kit would be so helpful! Thanks for the giveaway.
I love all sorts of jars…I’m inspired to make some crafty cookies and brownie mixes as gifts as it seems I’m running out of space for empties (could be I keep buying more?). The fermentation devices would be wonderful for making some tasty stuff this winter when canning season is slow!
I would love any of the blue jars!
Would love to give these products a try!
I love my battered, old, most likely aluminum wide mouth canning funnel, but I’d sure like to get a shiny, actually round, stainless steel one! Thanks for the giveaway!
THanks for the giveaway. I would love to try this
I would love to try this product out. It looks fantastic. Thanks for the chance.
Gallon Widemouth Jars 110 CT
Maybe not a “traditional” preservation item, but I’ve been wanting to make candles with lard from our pigs and beeswax. So cool to see that they have a whole line of candle supplies!
You also have candle supplies, ooooo
The daisy lids are super cute, and I’d like to give those iLids a try!
