Once a week, I take a break from showing off my preserves and give my readers a chance to shine by featuring a few photos from the Food in Jars Flickr group. Here are a few pretties from the last week or two. If you’d like to see your photo featured here, please head over to Flickr, join the group and add your images
Goodness, look at this sunny Mandarin Marmalade with Chili and Ginger from Amanda Rudd. Sounds like a tasty early morning eye-opener!
Wow, check out all that jam! Looks like a roadside stand I’d love to come across. Thanks for sharing your photo, Christopher!
Flying Biscuit Cranberry Apple Butter from Elizabeth. If it sounds good to you, she posted the recipe right there along with the picture, so click over to give it a gander.
Candied kumquats from Gypsy Forest. I can’t stop thinking about how good these must be stirred into yogurt.
A beautiful batch of boozy Bachelor’s Jam from Rebecca at Cakewalk. Every year, I mean to start a batch of this and every year, I forget. Next year, for sure.
Creamy Ginger Squash Butter (for the fridge only) from Sara May, The Cozy Herbivore. I need to get another squash.
I’ve never heard of bachelor’s jam… can it be canned once it’s finished?
Candied kumquats are *excellent* stirred into yogurt. I made some last year.
They are indeed. I just tried that myself and then went online if anyone else had had the same idea. Bingo!
Thank you so much for linking to my apple butter photo! I love your site!!!
Candied kumquats?! ooh on vanilla ice cream I bet they’re divine!
We can try the kumquats next week (supposed to wait a month for flavors to meld) we can’t wait! I love the pretty paper on the cranberry apple butter, lovely idea! Thanks for including us in the line up…. I always love visiting and finding new blogs this way.
I just LOVE the labels on Christopher and Elizabeth’s jam! I usually just write on the top of the lid with a sharpie, but this inspires me to dress up some jams for gift-giving this Christmas.
Thanks for the shout-out! And I am truly intrigued by the bachelor’s jam. Must try! The candied kumquats look just absolutely decadent as well…
