Every Sunday evening, I take a break from showing off my preserves and give the rest of you a chance to shine by featuring a few photos from the Food in Jars Flickr group. Here are a few pretties from the last week or two. If you’d like to see your photo featured here, please head over to Flickr, join the group and add your images.

I love the all-pickle world that this image creates. Pickles and photo by Rebecca of Cakewalk.
Thanks for including my photo! I love your site. As a novice pickler/canner your recipes/info are so clear, so thanks!
Marisa,
Gorgeous photos! It is so wonderful to see so many creative canners documenting their creations. Thank you for sharing those with us.
Request (if I am allowed):
I am new to your blog, Marisa, so maybe you covered this already, but I could really use some ideas for gift basket ideas for the holidays. I want to create gift baskets with canned savory and sweet items, and maybe even include some other homemade items (I do love making home-made bread).
Do you have four canning triumps or deep loves that you would combine as a quartet in a gift basket? I would love to hear about your top tens or something like that from your experiences canning. I am definitely going to include the tomato jam you’ve made before!
Thanks!
Stephanie
Stephanie, you are certainly welcome to make any requests. I don’t have a ready answer for you but will do some thinking. There is a recipe on the site for homemade crackers that is a fabulous one to pair with a gift of preserves.
Oh! I will search for those crackers! And thanks for any helpful thoughts you come up with for pairing some canned goods for gift ideas 🙂

Beautiful photos, as always Marissa !
Help, Please…We need a recipe for whole garlic cloves in jars. nothing fancy / elaborate.
or mixed w/ other veggies. just plain Beautiful white Garlic cloves in a somewhat clear solution, which does not need to be refrigerated. if anyone can help us…it’s you!

…continued success to you, you deserve it !
bye for now,

Judith, you could pickle those garlic cloves. Search my site for the unfancy pickled jalapeno recipe and use the same brine and technique. The book will be out next spring!
thank you a bunch Marisa !
Judith
Marisa: huge thanks for showing my pic! The all jar feast was a hoot – and a theme I will no doubt repeat;). BTW you have been on my mind/in view all day since I have been making both your yellow tomato jam and your tomato jam (with all the fun spices). Seriously delish;).
