There is fun news from our friends at Cuppow. Earlier today, they announced that they’ve added two new colors to their line-up. This means, in addition to being to choose from clear, blue and orange, you can now also get your Cuppow in mint (wide-mouth) or bright pink (regular-mouth).
What’s more, the original wide-mouth Cuppow is now available with the Straw-Tek opening, making it increasingly useful for the iced drinks we’re all so fond of this time of year. As you can see, I tried my hand at the whole “write on the image” thing that’s so popular these days, to call out the differences.
As always, the colors are each associated with a charity, which receives 5% of the profits from that particular lid. When you buy the mint lid, Cradles to Crayons benefits. A portion of the profits from the shocking pink version go to Living Beyond Breast Cancer.
Thanks to Cuppow creators Joshua and Aaron, I have five prize packs to give away. Each winner will receive one regular-mouth pink lid, one wide-mouth mint lid, and one Team Cuppow cycling cap.
If you want a chance to win, here’s what you do.
- Leave a comment on this post, telling me what you’re drinking to cool down this summer. Water with herbs? Home-brewed kombucha? Iced coffee? Gin and tonic? Whatever your drink du jour is, I want to hear about it.
- Comments will close at 11:59 pm east coast time on Saturday, June 29, 2013. Winners will be chosen at random (using random.org) and will be posted to the blog on Sunday, June 30, 2013.
- Giveaway is open to all.
- One comment per person, please. Entries must be left on the blog, I cannot accept submissions via email.
My absolute favorite (for the moment) drink is to put frozen strawberries (one or two) in the bottom of my jar with a sprig of mint, then fill the rest with ice then water. So refreshing!!!
Sweet Tea or Smoothies …
Lemon water and iced coffee are my go to’s
Sweet tea, all the way!!
I’m drinking iced Samurai Chai tea lattés this summer and my husband’s grandmother’s recipe for homemade lemonade.
I’ve been enjoying a drink of pineapple juice and soda water with a sprig of mint and a splash of vinegar-based hot sauce. It’s really tasty, a bit spicy spicy, and very refreshing.
Homemade cold-brewed coffee with ice and soymilk–using the New Orleans coffee blend from Rook Coffee Roasters in Ocean, NJ.
Iced coffee or iced tea, need my caffeine quota!!
Fantastic lids, if I don’t win I’m buying some anyways!
Right now I’m on a brown sugar lemonade with mint and sea salt kick. Great way to cool down in the evenings and use the mint from my CSA box!
I’m staying refreshed and hydrated by drinking flavored waters.
I love my cuppow!
I love fruit flavor kool aid!
Ice coffee!
Iced coffee or fizzy water are classics and my faves!
This water all I’ve been drinking down is some water (I really should try adding some herbs) and honey sweetened iced tea! It’s not summer in the south without sweet iced tea.
sweet tea with fresh mint added. Yum!
I stick with iced coffee or seltzer with homemade syrups.
Cold Brew saves my life in the summer, haha. Would love to start using my jars to drink out of! 🙂
I enjoy making sun tea and then enjoying with ice. I was so excited to find half gallon ball jars last year just for this purpose (so much cheaper than buying a real glass sun tea jar and seals perfect everything time… no pesky ants running in) 🙂
Water! There’s nothing better!
I enjoy lightly sugar sweetened decaf green tea.
iced tea with lemon
My usual is gin & tonics, but since I’m pregnant this summer, it’s just lots of sun tea for me.
I’m drinking lots of iced tea. Unsweet with fruit, please.
It’s a Shrub Summer at our house. Right now we have a choice of Strawberry, Apricot with Vanilla Bean or Pineapple with Rosemary. Very refreshing in the 90 degree heat.
This summer, and always, my drink of choice is water from my mason jars. It stays cool longer! Thanks!
Lemon iced tea!!
I drink the same thing year round. Water and hot tea.
Gin and tonic! Most recently with cherry bitterw
Smoothies, smoothies, and more smoothies 🙂 My kiddos (6, and almost 5) ask for smoothies every day…no complaints here 😉 I use jars, but have no lids – these would be awesome! Thanks for sharing!
Oh! How I would love to sip my iced coffee all summer long from my jar with a Cuppow!
Ice water. Mango margs. Berry smoothies. Gin and tonics. Blackberry mojitos.
Water with lemon or sun tea are my favorites.
I’ve been drinking cold brewed ice coffee infused with a whole vanilla bean and coffee ice cubes! In my ball jar with cuppow lid, of course!
I have two favorite drinks in the summer the first being fresh mint ice tea and lemon lime ice water. I use my new blue ball jars but have no lids. These would be fantastic!
Thanks for sharing!
Lots and lots of ice water flavored with lemon, lime or summer berries..sometimes a combo! Love using the jars..and these new sipper tops look fantastic! Thanks for the opportunity to try them!!

Ice tea with fresh mint.
When the weather is hot I like to cool down with cold chai bubble tea. I also like to drink sparkling water with watermelon purée, with a squeeze of lime. The watermelon drink reminds me of a trip to Rio I took long ago.
Ice cold water with lemon and fresh mint.
Iced coffee in the am, iced sun tea in the afternoon, [iced] gin and tonic (with whatever bit of fruit simple syrup didn’t make it into the most recent batch of canning). Thanks!!
Iced coffee or fresh garden mint tea!
Iced coffee or water with lemon verbena or mint – yum!
Fresh fruit smoothies with fresh homemade kefir! Yum!
Usually sparkling water with a splah of lemonade and lots of ice!
I’m loving my SodaStream to make cherry limeade and diet cola! Homemade seltzer, real limes, real maraschino cherries. Yum. The best cooler on the planet.
Iced espresso!
Depending on the time of the day, iced coffee or gin and tonic sounds good.
These are really cool! Maybe they would get the kids to use only one cup per day!
Cold brewed iced coffee!!
