Giveaway: Customized Canning Labels from Felix Doolittle

This week’s giveaway comes to us from Felix Doolittle. They make customized stationary, book plates, return address labels, and canning labels. All the cards, stickers, and labels are illustrated with full color watercolor images by Felix Fu (the artist behind the brand!).

They make a number of different label options that are appropriate for home canners. You can get their classic canning jar labels, which come in 20 different designs (you enter the name, contents, and origin of the product when you place your order). Another option are the oval kitchen labels, which come in 32 whimsical designs and are shipped in a charming tin box.

If you want something a bit smaller in size, consider the chef medallions, which are available in 64 (!) different designs. They come 20 to a small silver tin and would be the perfect thing for tiny jars of preserves destined for holiday giving. All these labels are in the $25-30 price range per set.

    I love the Chef Medallions. As to which of the 64 designs to choose — oh my, I think I would have to go with what moves me at the moment. There are too many that I love!

    Even though they don’t have it, I’d love to have some old-school chemistry lab setup with “From Alex’s Laboratory.” I’m a science teacher, so it would resonate with both myself and with friends.

    I like the chef medalions-they would be perfect for my pint size jars of jam. Not sure what design I would choose, but they would say ” From Zubayda’s Kitchen”.

    As a lifelong Marylander, I appreciated that one of the crab labels was a blue crab. But I would probably go for the orange labels, since the thing that I make the most of and, consequently, need the most labels for when I give it away is orange marmalade.

    I love the Chef Medallions. All of them are great. I would have to study the images more to decide on which one I like best.

    Ollalieberries! I’ve got a freezer full all destined to become jam for wedding favors for my sons wedding.

    His artwork is really lovely, but why can’t I find the round ones you have pictured? The canning ones on his site are rectangles.

    My constant companion in the kitchen when I make jam is my wire fox terrier, Indy, so I would love to have oval labels with a fox terrier on it for my strawberry jam and apricot vanilla bean preserves.
    The illustrations are beautiful.

    I like the classic canning jar labels. I make a lot prickly pear jelly and wonder if they can put a prickly pear cactus on the label! I’ve never spruced up any of my jars but I would if I won.

    I’d pick one of the Chefs Medallions, maybe Pot of Soup or Turning Red or Wholesome Beginnings. I’d go for a more ‘generic’ label because I typically make smaller amounts of several things.

    I would love the chef medallions label with the bee on it. My husband and I started raising honeybees three years ago on my parents land in Wyoming. The operation has grown from two beehives to six! These labels would be so cute on our jars. Perfect!

    I was drawn to the little round labels that say “From the Kitchen of”…with the drawing of what looked like figs, candied? Also like the dog treat labels. My cousin’s grand daughter was at my house today talking about the dog biscuits she made. I loaned her my ‘bone’ cookie cutter and thought of her when I saw these labels. Really neat website.

    What charming illustrations. It is almost impossible to choose. The hydrangea and lemon is beautiful . If there was fruit next to the stock pot you could say it was a canning pot instead. Wish there were more generic designs. With the help of your book I have been doing many different small batches.
