I happened upon your blog tonight because I am interested in learning how to can. I saw this knife giveaway and figured I had to enter.
Something I love about this time of year is the amount of free time we have to take a break a learn how to do something new. For example, I just finished my VERY LAST SEMESTER of graduate school, and now I have time to learn about something that is interesting to me!!!! It’s a wonderful feeling! Even better, this time of year allows us to share time with our family. Hopefully, I will be able to share newly canned goodies (cut by my new knife), my new experiences cooking, and my sentiments regarding the end of graduate school during the next few weeks of the holiday season when I visit my family!

As someone from “out West” who’s temporarily residing in GA, I’m loving this winter without snow concept.

My favorite thing about this time of year is staying home and slow cooking soups. I’ve got minestrone on now!
